More Plastic? Think About it.Take Action!

Thank you all for taking part on the 1st screening and discussion series on environmental concerns. This time the movie “Bag it” took us on a global tour to unravel the complexities of our plastic world.

How crazy-for-plastic are you?

We all know we can not change the world but gently can shake it. It is up to you! We hope that you will find ways to incorporate healthy, more environmentally friendly practices into your life and your community. Here are some simple ways to make a difference:

TEN ALTERNATIVES

1. Carry reusable shopping bags

2. Give up bottled water

3. Say no to plastic produce bags

4. Buy from bulk bins

5. Make your own seltzer

6. Pack food in reusable containers

7. Choose milk in returnable glass bottles

8. Use bar soap and shampoo

9. Choose lotions and lip balms in plastic-free containers. Avoid plastics number 3,6 & 7

10. Make sure your personal care products are phthalate-free
